Priyanka & Nick will Divorce in 2023

In the year 2000, I was predicting the future with more perfection than the legendary French Astrologer Nostradamus ever did. I predicted both the Academy Award winners [Julia Roberts {Erin Brockovich} & Russell Crowe {Gladiator}]; that I will fall in love in college [I did]; India will win the Cricket World Cup 2003 [Lost in the Final]; & the US will have its first Gay & Black President within a decade [Barack was definitely Black :)].

My ‘hot streak’ began one late evening [15 January 2000]. I was watching Miss India pageant with my mother at home.

“Mom, I really like Priyanka, but she won’t win - Lara will. Priyanka will be the runners up”

I was spot on.

Lara went on to win the Miss Universe; Priyanka won the Miss World.

There on, Priyanka’s career rose rapidly & hit the peak when she became the first South Asian to lead an American network drama series - Quantico [2015-18].

Currently, Priyanka Chopra is a rare true international entertainment superstar, who was born & raised in India.

That’s some meteoric rise for a girl from a humble beginning. She was born in Bihar, whose per capita income is the lowest in India. To put that into perspective - India itself is ranked 127 in the world on per capita income.

For almost two decades, Chopra has worked her ass off & excelled at almost everything she’s undertaken. It’s reasonable to say that she deserves everything she’s achieved.

For almost two decades, she’s lived a life that surreal. And when that happens, to anybody, they feel ‘Invincible’.

And when you feel Invincible, you forget the most important rule of life: “You can’t win it all”

So, when she fell - head-to-toe - for Nick Jonas in early 2018, she didn’t burn time to get the ball rolling in the marriage’s direction.

Reasons

  1. She was already 35 [That’s 10 years above the standard marriage age - Indian Standards]
  2. Nick was young, hot & famous [She {like every girl} always wanted someone young, hot & famous + being ‘white’ is the icing on the cake]
  3. Nick really made her feel like a million dollars [He really does. Every girl loves that feeling]
  4. She had finally found the man she would love to marry ‘instantly’ & didn’t want to delay a great thing [Who in their right mind will]

The trouble with this is - she ‘forgot & discarded’ the fundamental dynamics that make a marriage last ‘forever’.

Why did she ‘forget & discard’ the fundamental dynamics

Short Answer: Priyanka is delusional

Why she’s delusional: It is ‘normal’ for super successful people to be delusional. They aren’t used to losing. They are used to feeling invincible. They love beating the odds & come out triumphant.

Now, let’s take a step back & establish something: I’m, under no circumstances, saying that Nick & Priyanka aren’t best for each other. I’ve no way of knowing that - so I’m not making any claims in that aspect.

In fact, it’s reasonable to believe Priyanka & Nick aren’t bloody stupid to get married if they don’t feel ‘strongly’ about it.

Enough with Monkeying Around - Let’s get to the point.

History & Facts are stacked against Priyanka & Nick. And when I say stacked against, I mean the odds are about ‘7 million in 1’ if their ‘current love’ is as ‘ridiculously awesome’ as they say it is. In more easy-to-understand language, I will say the ‘chances’ of their marriage lasting beyond 2023 [5 years - they married on 1st Dec 2018] are less than India winning the Football World Cup in the next 20 years.

Of course, some of you less perceptive/intelligent humans are thinking I’m talking pure trash. I will list the reasons for my conclusion, which aren’t based on pure trash but pure evidence. P.S. I don’t make the rules - neither does Priyanka.

  1. Traditionally, in a long-lasting marriage, the girl is always younger & less successful: Priyanka is 10.5 years older & also marginally more successful at this stage.
  2. Barring Hugh Jackman, no top Hollywood male star - in their 20s - has married a girl who’s 10+ older than them & not divorced within a decade. Jackman was 27; Nick was 26 when they married 10+ older women. Think about this damning Statistics - think long & strong!
  3. Career of a male star in the Entertainment industry gets stronger as they grow older - particularly the 30s are their best years. This means Nick will get more & more popular - meaning, he will have more & more girls wanting him as he grows older.
  4. Career of a female star begins to ‘dip’ sharply once she’s past 35. That means Priyanka will progressively become less of a superstar as Nick’s currency will rise continuously.
  5. In 10 years, Nick will be 36; Priyanka will be 47. He will be looking his best & career will be at its Peak. Priyanka will, unless something magical happens, will not be looking her best & career will be in the Twilight.
  6. In 20 years, Nick will be 46; Priyanka will be 57. Like Brat Pitt, George Clooney, Hugh Jackman, & anyone who’s naturally pretty always looks super hot at 46. Now try to think of a woman who is 57 - who really gives your whole mind & body goosebumps. Can you think of one woman like that.
  7. Now, let’s talk rationally not emotionally: If you’re a lad: 46 & ‘hot, talented & famous,’ there will be thousands of ‘hot, talented & famous’ & ‘young-as-fuck’ girls vying for your ‘time & attention.’ Your wife is now 57. Even a dimwit can guess the outcome here.
  8. Audience Question: Do you know a man in his 20s - personally or through someone - who married a woman 10+ older to him & the marriage lasted forever. P.S. Ask everyone you know on Insta/FB/Twitter & if you still can’t find someone then ask the 20-year-old genius who knows everything: Google [born on 4 September 1998]

The marriages with similar dynamics as Priyanka & Nick hardly ever happen [0.00007%]. And when they happen, they create a lot of buzz & then they end in divorce a few years later.
P.S. At times, people continue living together ‘unhappily’ - which is worse than divorce.

Am I saying that Priyanka & Nick shouldn’t have married. Absolutely not!

They are bloody bang on to tie the knot. But they would be absolutely delusional to think that it will last forever - that just ain’t going to happen. The Writing is on the Wall - but they’ve decided to deliberately overlook it.

In the world we reside in, a successful marriage is judged by its ‘no expiry date’ - till death does the duo apart. I think that’s absolute rubbish.

If my prediction for Priyanka & Nick comes true & they get divorced in 2023 [or in some other year], that cannot be the barometer for deciding their marriage wasn’t great or they should never have married as the odds were stacked against their marriage lasting forever.

The only ones to judge their marriage are Priyanka & Nick. If they stay together for 2 years, 5 years, 15 years, 25 years & then call it a day - they get to decide if their marriage was magical, ordinary or rubbish.

In this moment, it’s obvious they want to be together. I hope they aren’t silly enough to believe that they will have the same feeling in 2, 5, 15, 25 years down the line. And I hope whenever the hell they file for divorce, they realise that they fell in love & got married with someone they truly cared for.

How many of us mortals can truly say that we married the one we really loved.
